Well hello everyone and welcome to my annual September post!
Gilmore girls is on tv, I have a steaming cup of tea and a few biscuits, I have on some very autumnal cosy clothes (see below photo!) My laptop is open and I am ready to type!
(all bought from Next!)
If this is the first September Blog you have read then it's pretty much a love letter/wish list/musings towards my favourite months of the year aptly known as the ‘ber months’
Like many people, I see September as the start of my year. I think it's partly down to the new school year starting and my (not so) little one going back to school and partly due to just my general excitement towards everything warm, cosy and festive that is to come in the following months.
Now this year, things are going to be ever so slightly different because we are expecting another baby! I am incredibly emotional typing this as I honestly in my heart thought this day would never come but here we are! Sofia is extremely excited and I honestly think she is going to be the BEST big sister. We are extremely blessed that Sofia has people in her life that know her well and know how to help her, my eyes tear up I see her go into school and a friend will instantly reach out and hold her and or help her with her bags but I know that Sofia is desperate to be the carer for a change and I don’t doubt for a second that she is going to be the best role model and helper when our new babe comes along and completes our family.
So that being said, I have GOT to prepare! Way past the usual cookies, brownies, sauces and stocks I fill my freezer with every year. I’m going to be prepping full meals, snacks and everything I can think of so that I am super prepared (food wise at least) for when our new bambino arrives! I'll probably refer back to my Fill The Freezer Post to inspire myself haha!
I've decided to compile a little list of everything I want to achieve and buy over the next few months and of course I will be vlogging all the cute and cosy bits for my YouTube Channel which I promise I will be uploading again soon once the sickness and nausea have passed!
A lot of my to-do list is garden orientated and once my darling husband does a tip run, I can really get stuck in! All our decorative stones we have are completely mismatch and it's been silently bothering me for years so I reeaaallly want to change them all to a nice Cotswold Stone and along with re-doing all my pots for the winter with gorgeous red cyclamens I think the garden will look so much nicer. And then there of course is my huge pumpkin patch! It was actually a self-seeded accident and it's taking over, however it is bearing currently around 10 pumpkins which is kind of exciting!
As for the clothes, it's mainly Sofias wardrobe, that girl is really growing! I usually donate all her clothes to a friend however I find out soon enough what gender our new baby is so if it happens to be a little girly pop then I will be excitedly putting everything away for the future!! And I’m kinda getting a bit bigger myself and need to invest in some good maternity leggings that don’t have a see-thru bum and a few extra cosy, baggy jumpers to see me through the winter!
And I've really gotta buy a new plug as I charge my phone, watch and tablet all on one plug and it's just becoming quite a hassle haha!
Well, that's all for now folks, I feel like this is my least festive September blog but I’m sure my future YouTube videos will make up for it!!
Love From Natalie xxx
