I recently cleaned out my pantry and I found I had an abundance of oats so I decided this was a sign to make lots of Flapjacks! I posted it on my Instagram stories and I had the usual lovely messages of people asking for the recipe but overshadowing that completely was all my overseas followers asking me what in earth a flapjack was!
So here it is! Now you can make this recipe a lot healthier if you want to however I really enjoy them exactly like this! This recipe is super forgiving and adaptive so you could add less sugar or swap the golden syrup for honey perhaps. You could add dried fruit or nuts too but I must insist that you keep the amount of butter the same so that they hold together nicely!
